The Mercantour territory

With a length of 150 km, the territory extends over six valleys in the Southern Alps and covers two departments of France: the Alpes-Maritimes for about two-thirds of its surface, and the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. The crystalline massif of the Mercantour National Park has valleys filled with the scents of the Mediterranean, Provence, the Alps and Italy. Verdon, Cians-Var, Ubaye, Tinée, Vésubie and Roya-Bévéra: each valley has its own distinct character!

The Mercantour Écotourisme association, as its name suggests, develops ecotourism, a form of responsible travel in natural areas that contributes to the protection of the environment and the well-being of local populations. Alongside the Mercantour National Park, it is a member of the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism (ECST).

Their values, their background

Auteur photographe à St Etienne de Tinée. La photographie de paysage est ma principale activité. Je cherche surtout les lumières crépusculaires, les ambiances sauvages qui donnent plus de force à l’image.

Cependant, le paysage de nuit a également tout son charme. Habitant en montagne dans la vallée de la Tinée, j'ai la chance de bénéficier d'un ciel nocturne de qualité. J'ai donc commencé à réaliser plusieurs séries de photographies de paysages nocturnes présentant la beauté du ciel nocturne, sous les étoiles ou l'éclairage de la lune. Ce travail qui demande beaucoup de technicité et rigueur m'a amené à être plusieurs fois récompensé dans des salons photographiques mais également dans des concours internationaux.
