The Mercantour territory

With a length of 150 km, the territory extends over six valleys in the Southern Alps and covers two departments of France: the Alpes-Maritimes for about two-thirds of its surface, and the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. The crystalline massif of the Mercantour National Park has valleys filled with the scents of the Mediterranean, Provence, the Alps and Italy. Verdon, Cians-Var, Ubaye, Tinée, Vésubie and Roya-Bévéra: each valley has its own distinct character!

The Mercantour Écotourisme association, as its name suggests, develops ecotourism, a form of responsible travel in natural areas that contributes to the protection of the environment and the well-being of local populations. Alongside the Mercantour National Park, it is a member of the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism (ECST).

Their values, their background

Venir se perdre dans un village secret de Alpes du Sud, c’est bien entendu pour s’écarter du tumulte des villes et du quotidien. Esther et Franck Barberin l’ont bien compris. Ils ont imaginé quelques chambres idéales afin que les visiteurs puissent se déconnecter quelques temps du monde connu et bénéficier d’une authentique douceur de vivre.

Ancienne Auberge du 19e siècle, L’Auberge du Bachelard vous reçoit dans une maison qui a su faire l’alliance de la tradition et de la modernité. Les boiseries anciennes côtoient les équipements contemporains, l’ambiance joue la carte de la tradition et du design, toujours dans le but de vous offrir une expérience authentique et inédite.
