The Mercantour territory

With a length of 150 km, the territory extends over six valleys in the Southern Alps and covers two departments of France: the Alpes-Maritimes for about two-thirds of its surface, and the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. The crystalline massif of the Mercantour National Park has valleys filled with the scents of the Mediterranean, Provence, the Alps and Italy. Verdon, Cians-Var, Ubaye, Tinée, Vésubie and Roya-Bévéra: each valley has its own distinct character!

The Mercantour Écotourisme association, as its name suggests, develops ecotourism, a form of responsible travel in natural areas that contributes to the protection of the environment and the well-being of local populations. Alongside the Mercantour National Park, it is a member of the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism (ECST).

Their values, their background

Eleveurs bovin laitier en race abondance et montbéliarde.

Originaire de Mollières qui est un jolie hameau situé dans le Parc du Mercantour, grand père et grand-mère en sont partis les derniers en 1965 et y vécurent toute l’année en autarcie.

Passionnés de ces terres restées sauvages nous sommes heureux de perpétuer la tradition.

Chaque estive réveille de merveilleux souvenirs et des veillées pleines de contes et d’anecdotes parfois romancées mais si authentiques.

Cheese factory - Vacherie de Chastillon

Vente de fromages fabriqués sur place à Isola 2000. Visite pour individuels et groupes. Horaire vers 17h30 pour voir les animaux (tétée des veaux)
