Tinée

From olive tree to mountain lakes...

The Tinée presents a double face: the deeply Mediterranean South and the totally northern Alps. In between the valleys, the river seaks a passage between terraces, above which extend forests and alpine pastures.

To the North, surrounded by the highest peaks among the massif, you can admire lakes and vast pastures. In winter, some of these large areas make place for winter sports: ski slopes are yours!

The Tinée is also a multifaceted shepherd systems. Livestock is installed according to very different modes, very early in its history. The presence of the 'cols', places of permanent passages, suggests that great grasslands were rapidly conquered by men.
