The Mercantour territory

With a length of 150 km, the territory extends over six valleys in the Southern Alps and covers two departments of France: the Alpes-Maritimes for about two-thirds of its surface, and the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. The crystalline massif of the Mercantour National Park has valleys filled with the scents of the Mediterranean, Provence, the Alps and Italy. Verdon, Cians-Var, Ubaye, Tinée, Vésubie and Roya-Bévéra: each valley has its own distinct character!

The Mercantour Écotourisme association, as its name suggests, develops ecotourism, a form of responsible travel in natural areas that contributes to the protection of the environment and the well-being of local populations. Alongside the Mercantour National Park, it is a member of the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism (ECST).

Refuge et restaurant dans les Alpes-de-Haute-Provence

Idéalement situé au cœur du massif du Mercantour, dans l’arrière-pays Niçois, Le Refuge de la Cayolle vous ouvre ses portes l’été de mi-juin à mi-septembre. C'est un lieu idéal entre Ubaye et haut Var pour vos balades et randonnées ou tout simplement pour un déjeuner gourmand  sur notre belle terrasse avec vue sur les montagnes et la nature.  Sur place, vous pourrez profiter du point information du Parc national du Mercantour, ouvert toute la journée avec une mise à disposition de documentations gratuites ainsi qu’une petite exposition permanente.

Avec mon équipe, je suis à votre service pour vous apporter toutes les informations qui pourraient vous être utiles pour votre journée ou séjour.
